What you will be doing 

The BIT Analyst is an expert with the different tools and applications that are implemented at Umicore. The position supports and assists key users when using these tools and applications. 

The BIT Analyst will support the local teams when they encounter issues and be the first point of contact for global tools.

The BIT Analyst is acquainted with the business processes, business flows and the Umicore specifics, so that those can be aligned correctly into the different tools, while respecting the site templates.

 

The BIT Analyst is responsible for

  • Being the link between business and IT (IS) by gathering business requirements.
  • One or more SAP domains within the ERP system of the business unit, functioning as business expert and primary contact person for business and IS, providing guidance and coordination to both technical Analysts and business (team of key users).
  • The creation of SAP Material MD creation and SAP authorization role assignment
  • Supporting other business applications locally (LIMS, Sharepoint Online Dept. structure and workflows, …)

Activities will include: problem solving, preparatory (non-technical) bug analysis, supporting (regression) testing, support the implementation of change requests and retrofits

  • Supporting projects and change requests

Primary contact for the IT department (IS) during system implementations by being the liaison between the IS team and the business when it comes to translation of business know-how and requirements into developments to be done by the IS teamParticipate in Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, Quality Management System and Energy Management System regarding to roles and responsibilities included in additional file

  •  First line key user support and building strong local key users community
    • Being the first point of contact for key user questions
    • Ensure that business (key users) knowledge on processes and systems can be safeguarded, by making sure key users are well trained. Support the documentation of roles & responsibilities in the different systems. Contribute to the training manuals and systems documentation (ERP, LIMS, PI, Sharepoint (Online), …).
    • Supporting regression testing locally
    • Change request initiation and follow-up – clear communication between the IT department and business on business needs and requirements. Provide feedback to business regarding approval (or rejection) of changes

Organize training for the local teams: preparing training material.

  • SAP Material Master Data Management & authorizations
    • Creation of new materials in SAP
    • Assigning authorization roles to SAP end users
    • Coordinating the E2E process of material creation (BOM, Routing, Production versions, …)

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Minimum 3 years experience in enterprise IT, IS business system department
  • Working experience in a service driven, customer oriented environment.
  • ERP (SAP) implementation or operation and maintenance experience
  • Efficient using MS tools (Excel, PPT, Word)
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL and other data analysis tools
  • Fluent English and Polish
