Umicore employees took part in the 11th Nysa Run

The 11th edition of the Nysa Run was held on June 8. The start and finish line were traditionally located near the Hala Nysa, and the route was 10 km long. More than a thousand runners from all over the district took part in the event. Among the participants was also a group of Umicore employees.

As Umicore, we supported the Nysa Run for the fifth time, this time as a gold partner of the event. In this way, we want to respond to the needs and interests of our employees, who are increasingly willing to engage in sports initiatives. As a result, the event has become not only a Nysa tradition, but also our company tradition.

"This year's edition of the Nysa Run made a really good impression on me. The turnout was impressive, and the organizers ensured safety and comfort at the highest level for all participants. I'm convinced that such events will motivate even more residents of our region to practice sports."

Every year, more and more employees of our plant participate in the Nysa Run, this year it was more than 20 people. "We would like to congratulate all the runners, especially the Umicore representatives. We are pleased that our colleagues are so enthusiastically involved in local sports initiatives. We hope to see the same - or even more - of them next year,” says Alicia Stafford, communications manager at Umicore Battery Materials.

Thanks to our cooperation with the organizers of the Nysa Run, we want to motivate our employees to be physically active and promote a healthy lifestyle in Nysa and the region. We are already looking forward to the next editions of the Nysa Run!
