Information about your education and your professional career: your previous work experience and employer(s) as well as your tasks and responsibilities (preferably with a short description), language skills, additional training(s), etc.

Step 2: Application
Once you have prepared your CV and selected a vacancy you can start the application process.
- Go to the position that you want to apply for and click on ‘apply for this job’.
- You will be taken to a similar page with a description of that vacancy.
- Click again on ‘click here to apply for this position’.
- Create a profile. Once done you can upload your CV in MS Word or as a PDF.
Step 3: Confirmation
Was the application process successful? If so, you will automatically receive a confirmation e-mail. Your application is now in the hands of our recruiters who will handle your application and keep you informed.
The different steps of our application process
1. Sending applications by candidates for a selected recruitment advertisement (online)
2. Verification of the submitted applications in terms of competences required for a given position
3. Phone interview with selected candidates
4. Invitation to an interview with the hiring manager (in a pandemic situation, interviews take place online)
5. Personality-cognitive tests
6. Depending on the specificity of the position, the candidate may be invited for a final interview
7. Upon successful completion of the interviews, the selected candidate receives an offer of employment
Onboarding at Umicore

Pre-boarding
A few days before your first day at Umicore, you will receive an e-mail containing all the information you need for your first days. You will get an overview about the start time of your first working day, information about the trainings, a map of the site ... There will be no surprises!
Onboarding
For your onboarding, we plan out four days on which you will be trained within three broad categories: basic trainings that cover HR and IT, site specific trainings to introduce you to the different teams such as production, the analytical lab etc. and last but not least a comprehensive safety training. The latter is very important to us and covers different aspects of how we all keep our workplace safe and healthy.
Post-boarding
At the end of the onboarding training days we always organize an evaluation where you to give us your feedback on how you have experienced the onboarding process. We value this feedback and do this to continuously improve the onboarding process for the next new employees.

The recruitment process consists of multiple steps. First, our recruiters make a selection of the candidates by screening CVs based on skills and experience. If you are selected, a phone interview will follow. After a successful phone interview, you will be invited to an interview with one of the hiring managers. The last step are cognitive and personality tests. For some positions a final interview may take place.

We have two production plants situated in Poland. Since 2015 we produce automotive catalysts in Nowa Ruda. In 2021 we commissioned our greenfield plant in Nysa, which is the first cathode materials plant in Europe. The exact addresses can be found here.
