After having studied theory at university for years, you will need practical experience in a company to steer the path of your career. In an internship you can find out what your strengths are, which type of job you might enjoy most and establish useful contacts for the future.
At Umicore in Poland, we offer different kinds of internships in both Nysa and Nowa Ruda during which students can apply their theoretical knowledge to real work experiences. We support our interns every step of the way in a challenging, highly professional yet friendly and engaging environment.
What you will be doing
During the Internship Program you will work as part of a team and learn from experienced and enthusiastic Umicore colleagues. Depending your assignment, you will fulfill specific tasks and contribute to the implementation of some exciting projects. The duration of the internships can vary between four and twelve weeks.

What you will be doing
Umicore Nowa Ruda cooperates with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology to support talented young people who want to develop their careers. As part of this cooperation, we have created two types of internships:
1) Apprenticeship program – All Faculties
The apprenticeship program is intended for Wrocław University of Science and Technology students who must complete a compulsory work placement as part of their studies. During this one-month apprenticeship we introduce the students to the world of automotive catalysts and show them what their future career path might look like.
We also offer this internship to students from other universities if it is part of the compulsory work placement during their studies.
2) Internship program – Faculty of Chemistry
We also offer an internship as part of the Integrated Development Program of Wrocław University of Science and Technology supported by the EU. This program is dedicated specifically to the students of the Faculty of Chemistry. Under the guidance of our specialists students can put into practice the theoretical knowledge they gained at university. In this way, they develop their skills and gain invaluable work experience. This paid internship lasts three months, from July to September, and can be done in different departments, such as the process, laboratory or quality department.
