Can you describe your role at Umicore?

I am a production shift leader at Umicore in Nysa. My responsibility is to make sure that the tasks given to me and my team are carried out properly.

What do you enjoy about your job?

I set targets for myself on a daily basis. I like doing this because it allows me to expand my competences and skills continuously.

What do you enjoy about working for Umicore?

At Umicore we all get the opportunity to get trainings and improve our skills no matter our position. As a result, we know that there are opportunities for development and promotion and we feel that we all play an important role within the company.  

Why did you want to join Umicore?

Since Umicore in Nysa is a greenfield project, it entails enormous professional growth potential. Secondly, I was living abroad when Umicore arrived in Nysa, my hometown. It was the perfect opportunity for me to come back to my roots and do a job that meets my expectations close to home. 

What are you looking forward to when you leave for work in the morning?

I look forward to working in a positive atmosphere. I also like that this good atmosphere is reflected in the performance quality of my colleagues and myself. 

What has been your highlight so far in your role at Umicore?

The opportunity to develop myself and my employees is very important to me. Being part of a large company like Umicore is an achievement for me.
