We organised an Open Day! Candidates interested in working for Umicore visited our factory

On 14 March this year we opened the doors of our factory to the inhabitants of Nysa and the surrounding area. All those who want to start their professional adventure with Umicore could see what the daily work in our place looks like, get to know the team and also learn how the recruitment process works. The event was organised in cooperation with the District Employment Office in Nysa.

Once again, we organised an Open Day and invited anyone interested in working at Umicore to our factory. Where did the idea for such an event come from?

"The labour market has been changing dynamically in recent years and a lot of recruitment is now carried out via the internet. For some, this can be a barrier. Many people are used to traditional forms and value direct contact and the comfort of talking to a potential employer. It was with them in mind that the idea of Open Days was conceived."

At Umicore we are currently recruiting for positions such as production operator, production shift leader, electrical technician or mechanical technician.

The Open Day included workshops and presentations by our current employees. Together with the District Employment Office, we prepared materials for candidates with information on development opportunities, benefits complementing the offer and an explanation of how the recruitment process works.
