Umicore Employees Once Again Participated in the Santa Claus Night Run

On Saturday, December 7, 2024, Umicore employees once again joined one of the most important local sports initiatives – the 4th Nysa Santa Run. A total of 30 of our representatives completed the 5.2-kilometer route, which ran through the central part of the city.

The start and finish lines were located in the heart of Nysa, at the Market Square. The event began at 7:00 PM and was not only an opportunity to promote physical activity but also to support two charitable causes: the Volunteer Fire Brigades from the Nysa Municipality and the Municipal Hospital in Nysa.

The Santa Run is more than just sport – it is a way to share joy and help others. Being part of this initiative brings great satisfaction and energy.

The festive atmosphere, long conversations, and enthusiasm of both participants and spectators made the run a unique event. As Umicore, we prepared warming beverages – everyone could enjoy hot Belgian chocolate and winter tea.

At Umicore, we consistently support local initiatives that combine sports, integration, and helping others, and our employees are eager to get involved. Such actions show how much we can achieve together as a community. Congratulations to all participants, and I hope that next year even more people will join this wonderful initiative.
