Umicore Employees back on the Nysa Run Route

On May 30, 2026, the 13th edition of the Nysa Run took place – an event that attracts enthusiasts of physical activity, great atmosphere, and team spirit every year. Once again, Umicore employees proudly joined the starting line. 

Umicore once again proudly supported the event as a partner and sponsor. Our presence at this initiative is not only a way of supporting a local sporting event, but also an expression of our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among employees and the local community.

For years, the Nysa Run has attracted both experienced runners and people who participate mainly for fun and the opportunity to spend time together. Participants had the chance to take on a challenging route through the streets of Nysa while enjoying the unique atmosphere created by residents and supporters cheering along the course.

This is a fantastic initiative that brings a huge dose of positive energy. I’m happy to see more and more people from our company taking part in the race every year and proudly representing Umicore outside the workplace, says Michał Gęstwa, Supply Chain & Procurement menadżer w Umicore.

The organizers also ensured the event maintained its family-friendly character. As tradition dictates, the “Nysa Run Family Mile” was held, giving the youngest participants and their families the opportunity to spend active time together and enjoy the spirit of this sporting celebration.

Events like this bring people together and show how important physical activity and shared initiatives are.
