Darek Jurczak, Managing Director of Umicore, has been named Manager of the Year in Opole Region 2023!

The "Manager of the Year in Opole Region 2023" competition has been concluded! It is organized by the editorial office of Nowa Trybuna Opolska, with Opole University of Technology as a substantive partner. The aim of the competition is to honour the best entrepreneurs from the voivodeship for effective company management and support of the local community.

On June 19, an award ceremony took place at the Karolinka Golf Park in Kamień Śląski. The winner of the Manager of the Year in Opole Region 2023 title in the "Large Company" category (employing over 250 people) was Darek Jurczak, Managing Director of Umicore.

"I am extremely pleased that our activities are recognized and appreciated. Umicore's success would not have been possible without the dedication and efforts of our entire team - my sincere thanks to all colleagues! This award is also a motivation to continue our work at a high level. We are convinced that with our innovative approach we will certainly contribute to the further development of the industry and support of the local economy."

The gala was followed by a debate between the managers awarded in the competition, the topic of which was Poland's 20 years in the European Union and the development of the Opole economy.
