Umicore Awarded in the “Employer – Organizer of Safe Work” competition

On November 22, 2024, a formal gala summarizing competitions organized by the District Labor Inspectorate in Opole took place at the Blue Hall of the Opole University of Technology. Umicore was awarded a distinction in the “Employer – Organizer of Safe Work” competition!

As a company focused on innovation and employee safety, we are proud that our efforts have been recognized. We participated in the category for companies employing over 249 people and received an award and a trophy.

This recognition is a significant confirmation that our efforts in occupational health and safety (OHS) and employee wellbeing are yielding the desired results. We focus on every detail – from OHS training, implementing advanced protection systems, to health and preventive programs.

The safety of our employees is a priority, which is why we continue to invest in new solutions. Our actions include, among others, lockout/tagout (LOTO) systems, the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and modern rescue solutions. Moreover, we ensure that every employee has the proper protection. This award is proof to us that consistent actions in safety, innovation, and care for employees bring tangible results.
